Mr Les Collier is our Chief Coach, he is assisted by one more qualified Coach, ten ASA level 2 teachers and five ASA level 1 teachers.
All our Coaches and Teachers are CRB checked and have attended courses in Good Practice and Child Protection, and Equality in Coaching.
Our swimmers are taught along the lines of the National Plan for Teaching Swimming, and we follow the principles of the Long Term Athletic Development scheme.
Every year we encourage our swimmers to take part in the BLDSA one-hour swim (and for the Masters the ASA Half-hour swim), the Club Mile is popular with all ages, with certificates being awarded to all first-time "Milers".
Other internal events indude time trials, the Annual Gala and the "PowWow" gala, the latter being limited to the very youngest swimmers, while the poolside officials in this event include many of our teenage members.
